Today, I would like to congratulate the Tropical Coast Wanderers (Townsville, Qld), especially their organising committee, for finally having a little bit of luck with the staging of the Dam Fine Rally. The event is currently being held for the first time in several years, with it commencing yesterday and running through till Tuesday. The last two years the event was to take place saw it cancelled at last minute due to Covid-19 breakouts; however, no such occasion this year. I know many are excited about their annual get together which culminates with the V8 Supercars in Townsville later next week, which many stay around for.
This, along with the Christmas in July Rally staged by the Far North Nomads, are the largest two events we hold within the Chapter network each year. They prove very popular with members who have made their way north to Queensland at this time of the year. Those who are travelling further north may like to consider attending Christmas in July at Mareeba from 21 – 24 July 2022.
