I would like to highlight that it is National Volunteer Week (NVW), an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers.

Unfortunately this year’s celebrations will be quite different, as NVW events have been postponed or cancelled due to current Government restrictions and advice. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all volunteers Australia-wide for their time, skills and continued support towards various organisations and charities. Further to this, I would especially like to recognise and thank the many CMCA volunteers who generously donate their time towards their Club. On behalf of the board, staff and fellow members, we appreciate the efforts of those who assist across various facets of the Club – we have over 1,200 members who volunteer. Many of our members who volunteer internally also volunteer externally for various charities and community groups. An organisation such as CMCA relies heavily on volunteers and their support – their hard work does not go unnoticed. We simply could not do it without their help.

To all members who volunteer in any capacity within the Australian community, a big thank you!
