Yesterday was another big day in the Club’s history, with the official opening of CMCA RV Park Port Pirie in South Australia. Port Pirie opened earlier this year, however due to COVID-19 an official opening was delayed. Director Margaret Cook was joined by the executive of the Port Pirie Football Club, and CMCA’s Business Development Officer Sean Constable, to unveil the official opening plaque in front of an excellent number of members currently using the facility. This park, which is located within the confines of the Port Pirie Football Club, is proving to be a popular destination. I would like to extend a big thank you to the Port Pirie Football Club, Council, and our members (custodians and guests) who have assisted in making this a reality.
The total number of CMCA RV Parks in our network is now 13. Queensland leads the way with four (Charleville, Innisfail, Ingham and Bundaberg), the Northern Territory has two (Batchelor and Humpty Doo), Tasmania has two (Railton and Geeveston), New South Wales has two (Temora and Gunnedah), South Australia has two (Penola and Port Pirie) and Western Australia has one (Boyup Brook).
There is a delay with our proposed park at Branxton (NSW), however we are hoping that this will be rectified in the coming months. If you do see an opportunity or site that could meet the criteria, please contact NHQ during business hours or send us an email at enquiries@cmca.net.au.
Safe travelling
Richard
