Today’s message is extremely important, especially with the recent activities regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and implications it will continue to have. I would like to encourage members to be conscious of what is happening around them and the need to be protected from the spread of this disease. I would like to advise any member who has recently travelled overseas, been in contact with anyone who has tested positive/is suspected of having the virus or is experiencing flu-like symptoms and is yet to see a doctor to refrain from attending chapter meetings, rallies and safaris. In some cases, the Government is asking people to self-isolate for at least 14 days upon their return to Australia. This week, the World Health Organisation issued advice declaring the Coronavirus a pandemic. Therefore in the interest of our members, we will promote this notification across our channels.
