This may come as a surprise as it’s still early, but we are currently receiving a tremendous amount of volunteer applications for next year’s rally in Mount Gambier. The rally will be taking place from 22 - 29 September 2024 at the Mount Gambier Showgrounds, the venue of a previous successful rally held back in 2006. If you are thinking about coming, and the thought of volunteering has piqued your interest, we kindly ask that all volunteer applications are completed and emailed to rally@cmca.au by 30 November 2023. More details on the types of volunteer roles available are listed on the application form. Volunteers arrive on site prior to the commencement of the rally; days will vary depending on the type of volunteer role. All volunteers will go through a WHS induction, where they receive their volunteer shirt and hat. They also receive lunch and morning tea most days, as well as a welcome and farewell barbecue. We expect another site inspection to take place soon, where we can review the site and determine the number of powered sites to be allocated. We certainly have more than the 180 sites currently allocated and will confirm the final numbers soon. If you would like to secure a powered site, I encourage you to register go on the wait list.
