Our latest RV Friendly Town is Wudinna, SA!
Wudinna is a small town of 600 people, located approximately 260km west of Port Augusta, SA. It is a wheatbelt town dominated by grain silos and was recently awarded 2024 Agricultural Town of the Year. Wudinna is especially appealing to travellers due to its proximity to the Gawlers Ranges National Park.
RV travellers wishing to explore the region can base themselves at Wudinna RV Park, along Naylor Terrace. The cost to stay is $10 per vehicle per night for an unpowered site and $20 per vehicle per night for a powered site. The length of stay is negotiable and access to showers, toilets, bins, covered seating and water is included. A dump point is also accessible at the site.
There is plenty to see in Wudinna and the surrounding region including the granite sculpture which is located next to the Gawler Ranges Visitor Information Centre. The sculpture was designed and sculpted by Marijan Bekic as a symbolic representation of all Australian farmers. Visitors can also take a short drive to Mount Wudinna and Turtle Rock and Mount Wudinna Gawler Ranges National Park, or travel along the Mount Wudinna Touring Route to view interesting granite outcrops.
