It’s been a busy week for the Club with the commencement of the Tasmanian State Rally and Victorian Caravan and Camping Supershow.
The Tasmanian State Rally kicked off yesterday at Campbell Town Showgrounds and will run through until Tuesday 27 February. Chairman Nelson Crawshaw is in attendance and will be taking the time to address attendees and provide them with an update on the strategic direction of the club. I would like to wish everyone a fun weekend and look forward to hearing all the astounding reviews.
With the Victorian Caravan and Camping Supershow taking place until Sunday 25 February, our staff and volunteers are truly being kept on their toes. If you're in the Melbourne area, drop by and say hello to the CMCA team - and don't forget to enter the promotion we have running for the chance to WIN a Redback Generator RB3.5 Pure Sine Wave valued at $2199, thanks to our friends at iTechworld.
On a final note, I am sad to advise that the Dam Fine Rally has been cancelled for its second consecutive year due to ongoing earth works taking place at the rally site. The Townsville City Council has advised the rally committee that the site will no longer be available in time for the event. Many are saddened by this; however, it just means next year’s event will need to be even bigger and better than ever before! If you’re going to be travelling in Far North Queensland, don’t forget that the Far North Nomads are holding their annual Christmas in July event from 25 – 29 July at Mareeba. This is always a fun event, and the rally team is working hard to put on an extraordinary event.
Safe travelling
Richard
