Development of the next two RV parks is well underway with Penola, SA expected to be completed in August, while it is envisaged our recent purchase of Charleville Bush Camp, Qld will be finalised within the next few weeks.  As we have purchased the existing 22 acres of property, this park will be known as Charleville CMCA RV Park Bush Camp. We will not be using all this land mass; however, we will be undertaking improvements on the site including a new shelter shed and signage. We believe Charleville will be very popular in the winter months as many members tend to head north for the warmer weather.

The park in Penola is ideally located at the McCorquindale Park precinct, which is within walking distance to town. Working with government and facilitating the legal processes caused a longer delay than anticipated with this project; however, we are looking forward to RV travellers accessing this site.

During our latest attendance at the Australian Local Government Association conference, CMCA received strong interest from council areas throughout the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia for the development of more RV parks across the country. Since the conference, many projects have already started to gain momentum, and this will complement the work already being done in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
