As restrictions on travel continue to ease – mostly in relation to regional travel within state and territory borders, I would like to remind members to be careful on the roads, particularly with speed. We have been advised by authorities that they have already noticed an increase in the number of vehicles travelling, especially in Victoria and NSW, and they expect the same in other states.

This weekend is a long weekend across the country, except for Western Australia and Queensland. Double demerits are now enforced in most states; it is important to make yourself aware of the rules and penalties enforceable.

On Tuesday, the board will hold their June meeting. Many items will be discussed including an appropriate date for the recommencement of chapter and SIG events. Please note, that our parks in Penola, SA, Railton, Tas and Charleville and Bundaberg, Qld have reopened and await your patronage. Ingham, Qld is due to reopen on 14 June 2020 and the opening of our new park in Temora, NSW will open once a custodian is secured. For members visiting our RV parks, please ensure social distancing and all COVID-19 measures we have implemented are adhered to.
