As the border is due to close between NSW and Qld tonight, we will be relying on those members who either reside in Queensland, or legally travelling within the state, to attend the Club’s 20th Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 30 September 2020 in Bundaberg.
It is imperative that at least 200 ordinary members attend this event to constitute a quorum, otherwise the meeting cannot take place. I encourage all available members to attend. The meeting will only consist of the statutory reports; however, we will be staging a barbecue on completion for those who attend.
We will adhere to all COVID-19 requirements including the 4 square metre rule, social distancing, temperature checks and hand sanitation. If you have any cold/flu-like symptoms, been tested within 7 days prior to the meeting or been in contact with anyone presenting symptoms in the last 14 days, you will not be permitted to enter. Strict controls will be in place. Members will be required to bring their own chair, cutlery and plates with them.
Early next week, we will be unveiling our pre-registration process which includes the capability of booking to stay on-site at the precinct. We have secured powered sites for $20 per night and unpowered sites for $15 per night. This is for a maximum stay of four nights; arriving Monday 28 September and departing Friday 2 October. Parking is also available at CMCA RV Park Bundaberg; however, members will be required to organise their own transport to and from the meeting. It is essential that everyone registers and specifies what days they will be on the grounds for contact tracing purposes.
If any members require further information, please give us a call at NHQ on 02 49788788.
Stay safe
Richard
